Heidi Vawdrey, DNP, APRN, FNP-C specializes in family medicine and is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from University of Utah and her Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University.

Heidi expressed her desire to be a nurse in preschool and never looked back. Her educational path in medicine began with an internship in a pediatric clinic during high school, followed by training and working as an emergency medical technician during college. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Heidi devoted her bedside nursing career largely to adult critical care.

Her special interest areas include preventive medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, concussion care and mental wellness. She is passionate about education and frequently teaches community outreach seminars about various health topics, including suicide prevention and mental health.

In her spare time, Heidi loves to be out hiking and exploring new places. She has also ran in several marathons and half marathons, and has competed in several triathlons. Heidi is married with four children and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. After the passing of her third child due to Potter’s syndrome, Heidi devoted several years to infant bereavement support volunteer work. She currently volunteers with Timpanogos Emergency Response Team, Jordan Education Foundation, Healthy Riverton and Jordan District Secondary PTA Council.
