Sports Fitness and Physical Therapy

As an avid runner and soccer player, Michelle Wangrowm, DPT discovered the importance of physical therapy when she developed serious neck pain and chronic ankle sprains in high school. Michelle was able to recover from her injuries with the help of dedicated physical therapists. She recognized that there are ways to treat acute and chronic injuries without necessarily requiring any surgical intervention. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she completed an internship in Cusco, Peru where she worked with children and adults with neurological conditions on gait and balance training.

Now she finds satisfaction in setting functional goals for each of her patients so they can accomplish the things they want or need to do with minimal to no pain. She accomplishes this through stretches, strengthening routines, and mobilization of joints and tissues. She has a particular interest in women’s health and treating some of the conditions that are unique to women either as they age or during post-partum.

Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys running, hiking with her fiancé, and participating in family history work.
