Revere Health Cardiology Welcomes Ryan Cooley, MD

St. George, UTAH – October 30, 2020 Dr. Cooley, MD recently joined Revere Health Heart of Dixie Cardiology in Saint George. He will start seeing patients at the beginning of November.

“We are excited to have Dr. Cooley join Revere Health Heart of Dixie,” said Sheila Skinner, an administrator at the Revere Health Heart of Dixie Cardiology clinic. “He comes with 20 years of experience as an electrophysiologist and is a kind and patient man who is eager to offer aid to patients in Southern Utah.”

Dr. Cooley completed his Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology and earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. He subsequently completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Iowa. He likewise completed a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Aurora Sinai in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I am excited to join a practice whose genuine interest is in helping physicians succeed and to deliver the best care possible to patients,” said Dr. Cooley. “My approach to medicine is empathetic and non-judgmental. I want to be an effective advocate and guide for each of my patients as they navigate their healthcare needs and strive to empower them to become active decision-makers in their care.”

As an electrophysiologist, Dr. Cooley focuses on heart rhythm and treatment for disorders including complex cardiac ablations for arrhythmias, implantation of a pacemaker, ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator), and BIV (biventricular) devices.

Dr. Cooley served as Director of Electrophysiology at Aurora Grafton Hospital and Co-director for Autonomic syndromes for Aurora Healthcare in Wisconsin. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and was actively involved in the teaching and training of electrophysiology fellows.
