Revere Health now offering linear accelerator technology for more effective cancer treatment

Provo, UT – December 14th, 2023 – Revere Health’s Radiation Oncology department is proud to announce a significant equipment upgrade in the form of a new TrueBeam linear accelerator.

We are excited to be able to treat our patients with the latest technology in radiation oncology,” said Dr. David Pratt, Revere Health Radiation Oncologist. “The new treatment machine provides improvements in target localization, which will help us further minimize the potential side effects of radiation therapy.

By delivering higher doses of radiation more directly to the tumor, the impact on surrounding, healthy tissues is minimized. Patients may also see a reduction in the number of overall treatments they need due to the machine’s efficient treatment delivery.

In addition to these benefits, Revere Health’s linear accelerator also allows for mark-free or “tattoo-less” treatments. This can be an attractive option for patients who do not wish to have permanent marks on their skin after their treatment.
