Mayor Kaufusi to commemorate 50 years of Revere Health

September 3, 2019

PROVO, Utah – September 3, 2019 – On Wednesday, September 4 at 9:00 am, Revere Health is celebrating its 50th anniversary of providing health care to Utah residents with a time capsule ceremony. Provo Mayor Michelle Kaufusi will speak at the event.

“Revere Health planted their roots in Provo in 1969 and five decades later are still providing for the growing health needs of our community with state-of-the-art and compassionate care. They live their mission statement: Your health above all else,” said Mayor Michelle Kaufusi. “How fitting for Revere Health to give back to this community with a donated tree to represent both their growth as a company and our growth as a city.”

The time capsule will include medical equipment, photographs, a snapshot of Revere Health’s operations and business partners, contributions from various clinics and other memorabilia.

“We hope that in 50 years, future Revere Health employees will be able to open this time capsule and be proud of how far health care has come and the contributions they have made to the industry and community,” said Revere Health CEO Scott Barlow. “As an accountable care organization, we are paving the way for the future of health care, and I think it will be rewarding to see how that’s evolved.”

In addition to the time capsule burial, Revere Health will also present a tree to Provo City—symbolizing its growth in the community—and potted plants to all other cities in which Revere Health provides care.

In 50 years, Revere Health has grown from a small internal medicine clinic in Provo with just three physicians to the largest, independent healthcare organization in the state. Revere Health is now home to over 400 physicians and advanced practice clinicians and over 1900 employees throughout Utah.
