Bio | Russell W. Rhoades, DO earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Polish studies at Utah State University. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended the University of Nebraska in Omaha for an internship and residency in Internal Medicine. In 2005, he began work at Intermountain Healthcare in Provo where he worked as a hospitalist for 17 years. As a young man, Dr. Rhoades watched his father struggle with serious health issues that would require solid organ transplantation and then later cancer treatments. Watching healthcare professionals improve his father’s quality of life influenced him to choose a career path that would allow him to also help people. He chose osteopathic and internal medicine because they allow him to provide a holistic care approach and treat the various complexities of the human body. Dr. Rhoades believes he is uniquely qualified to deal with patients’ complex medical problems due to his 17 years of hospital experience taking care of patients. When he is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Tegan, and their 7 children: 5 girls and 2 boys. His interests include backcountry snowmobiling, desert dirt biking, running, tent camping with his kids, snorkeling anywhere tropical, spending time with the youth, and listening to good old rock n’ roll or country music. He is a true Aggie and loves Aggie ice cream. |
