Updates on Cardiology Department Restructuring
What is happening with your Cardiology department?
We’re in the middle of a thoughtful restructuring. A few of our Utah County providers—Doctors Scott Bingham and Toby Paulson—are remaining with Revere Health, while others have chosen to explore new opportunities. We are actively working to strengthen and build upon our rich history of providing exceptional cardiovascular care.
Why is my Cardiologist leaving?
Because every situation is unique, we don’t want to speak for anyone’s individual reasons. Rest assured, we will continue to focus on what is most important, our patients.
Where is my Cardiologists going?
We understand that you want to know where each Cardiologist will be practicing. Most Cardiologists have not yet finalized the details of where and when they will see patients after leaving Revere Health. While many have expressed plans to remain in the community, these plans are still subject to change.
Will Revere Health still have a Cardiology department?
Yes. Dr. Paulson will continue practicing Cardiology at Sacred Heart Hospital (Mountain Point) in Lehi, and you can schedule with him by calling 801-492-2815. Dr. Bingham will resume practicing at the Revere Health main campus in Provo, and you can schedule with him by calling 801-373-4366. We’re actively strengthening our Cardiology team and believe that, over time, this transition will ultimately broaden and enhance our delivery of cardiovascular medicine.
What should I do for Cardiology care while you rebuild?
Revere Health will continue to provide Cardiology care and ancillary services with the physicians who are staying. Our commitment to collaborative, high-quality care remains unchanged. For any urgent heart-related needs, we first recommend contacting your Primary Care Physician, who will be able to provide you with options, then contacting your local hospital. Always go directly to the Emergency Room for life-threatening conditions.
Does this mean other Revere Health departments will be changing?
No. These circumstances are unique to Cardiology and do not indicate change in other departments. Any decision by a Cardiologist to leave was made individually and not by Revere Health.
What if I still have questions?
You can email patientconcerns@reverehealth.com and someone will get back to you.
