Amanda Hood-Nelson, FNP-C

Amanda Hood Nelson, FNP-C, received a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Utah Valley University and a Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Gonzaga University. She is a native of Utah and has experience in intensive care, family medicine, and medical aesthetics. 

Amanda’s healthcare philosophy focuses on health education and promotion in the community. She believes that by building strong relationships with her patients she can give them the tools to become healthy, both mentally and physically. Her prior experience as a nurse has helped her learn how to communicate with patients in a meaningful way. Amanda is thorough with every patient visit, and strives to help each patient be as healthy as they possibly can.

She lives locally with her daughter, and two Aussies, Charlie and Lola. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time doing yoga, reading, traveling, and being in Utah’s beautiful outdoors.
