Diego Gonzalez, FNP-C


Bio	Diego Gonzalez, FNP-C received a bachelor of science at Brigham Young University – Marriott School of Management in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources. He then graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Utah – College of Nursing. He received his master of science as a family nurse practitioner at Brigham Young University – College of Nursing. Diego is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is a native Spanish speaker, is fluent in English, and also knows some Portuguese. Diego has always had a natural proclivity to care for others and empathize in their struggles. Back in his home country of Uruguay, his grandmother was a physician and his father was a veterinarian, so Diego was always around medicine in one way or another. Diego began pursuing a career in medicine after experiencing some medical issues of his own and has never looked back. Diego enjoys working in urgent care because it allows him to help people of all ages and walks of life in difficult times. He believes that urgent care is a great combination of emergency and family medicine. When he is not caring for patients, Diego enjoys hanging out with his wife and three kids. In the last few years he has become a road biker, skiier, rock climber, canyoneer, and scuba diver. Diego also enjoys opportunities to interpret Spanish, which he has done informally in his neighborhood and as a volunteer in healthcare settings.
