Bio | Douglas Langford, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in zoology at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to his education, Dr. Langford completed a neurology residency and a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served four years in the military and was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Anny Commendation Medal. He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Langford chose to pursue a career in medicine so he could improve the health and quality of life of individuals. In his practice, Dr. Langford strives to communicate with each patient while building an effective doctor-patient relationship. He finds it truly rewarding to diagnose and treat patients who have faced challenging conditions without finding satisfactory remedies. While some neurologic diagnoses may be chronic or lifelong, he knows that these challenges can be managed to ensure the patient can attain a happy and healthy life. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Langford enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and racquetball, hiking, camping, and learning history. |
