Sophia Perez, NP


Bio	Sophia Perez, FNP, received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University. She went on to earn her Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Chamberlain University while also precepting with Dr. Root and Dr. Bowman at Revere Health’s Kanab Family Medicine Clinic. Sophia has worked in emergency medicine for more than fifteen years, most recently at a critical access hospital where she practiced rural medicine. Sophia is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She specializes in women’s health, family medicine, allergy shots, intra-articular knee and shoulder joint injections, annual wellness visits, physical examinations, and sports physicals. Sophia decided to pursue a career in medicine after witnessing her aunt battle non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Sophia took EMT courses and earned certifications as a medical assistant and radiology technician, but she ultimately decided to advance into the field of nursing. With her advanced practice degree in nursing and many years of experience, Sophia knows how to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to all patients, no matter who walks through the door. In her free time, Sophia enjoys yoga, reading, and cooking.
