Bio | Thomas Carn, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at Weber State College and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Utah. He completed a family practice internship and residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Family Physicians and specializes in family medicine. Before he went to medical school, Dr. Carn worked in the emergency room at a local hospital and had the opportunity to get involved with a family practice residency. While there, he was mentored by a physician who played an influential part in his decision to pursue family medicine. Dr. Carn loves to interact with people while working with them to resolve their health challenges. Dr. Carn believes in the importance of patient involvement. When patients are involved in the decision-making process, it gives patients ownership over their health needs and fosters strong provider/patient partnerships. Dr. Carn is happy to spend as much time as needed to ensure that each patient can take ownership of their health. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Carn loves to spend time with his family, boating on all of Utah’s beautiful lakes and golfing. |
