PROVO, UT – September 18, 2017 – Allan Pauole, CMCH recently joined Revere Health as the newest mental health therapist in Provo.
Pauole believes working in the medical field happened to be an act of fate. He attended Southern Utah University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education emphasis. After a year working as a social worker for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah, he returned to school and got his Master’s degree in Counseling.
“I have found that my education degree became an invaluable tool in learning how to do effective therapy,” said Pauole. “Performing therapy in a family medicine practice enables me to treat both the body and mind in one location and bodes well for having healthy patients and providing quality care.”
With over 10 years of experience as a licensed clinical mental health counselor, Pauole has extensive training in motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy and substance abuse counseling.
Pauole strongly believes in the concept of, ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’.
“I believe there is comfort in education, so I enjoy clarifying the actual effects suicide, depression, anxiety and trauma can have on an individual’s mental health,” Pauole said.
Outside the clinic, Pauole enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. He also spends his free time cycling the back roads of Utah and makes an annual trip to Arizona each March to watch the Spring Training games.
Pauole will be working at the Provo Main Campus. He will offer several different services to treat all forms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, psychosis and oppositional defiant disorder for patients ages 4 to 65.
