At Revere Health we do our best to offer shadowing opportunities to as many students as possible. We schedule for a very few in administration. For students who do schedule through administration and because our demand is extremely high, we limit hours scheduled through administration to only 12 shadowing hours per student. Please be aware that our providers are limited to days of the week and times, therefore, we will not be able to accommodate all requests.

The majority of physicians and advanced practitioners prefer to manage their scheduling calendars through their office managers. additionally, we are only able to offer shadowing experiences in a clinical setting; to shadow surgeries/procedures the student will need to contact the hospital/facility where the surgery or procedure is to be performed.

FAQ:

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Student application and confidentiality documents are valid for 1 years from date of signing.
  • Students must dress appropriately in business attire. No jeans and no scrubs are allowed.
  • Students will wear student badge visibly at all times and relinquish badge to office at end of scheduled shadowing.
  • Electronic devices must remain out of sight and use during shadowing visits.
  • Students are required to give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if unable to attend scheduled appointment.
  • Please be aware that a provider’s schedule may change at very short notice. We will do our best to communicate cancellations as quickly as possible.
  • Violation of rules or procedures in any way may result in the cancellation of future shadowing appointments.
  • Shadowing opportunities are for OBSERVING ONLY.There will be no hands-on activity nor care by the student.
  • Permission must be obtained from each patient prior to student’s presence during appointment.
