Bio | Alan Sutak, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements. Dr. Sutak received his Bachelor of Science in physiology and developmental biology from Brigham Young University and went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine where he graduated with honors and was elected to the AOA honor society. Dr. Sutak completed his residency in the department of orthopedic surgery at the respected Mayo Clinic where he won a prestigious award voted on by peers, as the most compassionate, dedicated and skilled orthopedic resident. He then pursued an additional fellowship year of specialized training in adult reconstruction at Duke University School of Medicine. When Dr. Sutak was in college, he observed a patient return from a knee replacement surgery with tears of joy because the patient no longer needed a cane and could play with his grandchildren. From that moment on, he knew he wanted to help others achieve those results and find the joy from an active, healthy lifestyle. He loves working with a team to help patients feel better and get back to the activities they enjoy. Dr. Sutak enjoys humanitarian work and helping provide medical care to those in need. He volunteered with Operation Walk where he traveled to El Salvador to perform hip and knee replacements for those who could not afford them. When he is not at work you can find Dr. Sutak spending time with his family, golfing or playing sports with family and friends. |
