Doug Bagley, PT, CHT obtained a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy and a Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Utah. He has more than 30 years of experience in upper extremity care and stays current on the latest best practices. Doug has experience fabricating custom splints for protection or mobilization of stiff joints. He is board certified with the Hand Therapy Certification. Doug is trained and certified in ASTYM. This is a physical therapy treatment used frequently for stubborn tendon problems such as tennis and golfers elbow. He specializes in physical therapy and outpatient care of the hand, wrist, and elbow.
Doug chose to pursue medicine because he enjoys helping others and has always been interested in anatomy, fitness, and exercise. During an outpatient upper extremity internship in Phoenix, Arizona, he cultivated an interest in hand therapy. Doug passed the CHT exam in 1996 and has worked as an outpatient upper extremity therapist ever since.
When he is not taking care of patients, Doug enjoys hiking, backpacking, and exploring the outdoors with his family and dogs.
