James Macdonald, MD


Bio	James Macdonald, MD joined Central Utah Clinic in 2014. Dr. Macdonald received his training at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, and completed his dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver. He has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences and has published more than 20 research articles in leading medical journals. Dr. Macdonald graduated from the St. Louis University School of Medicine in the top 10 of his class and with honors in research. His areas of expertise include melanoma and other skin cancers, drug reactions, blistering skin diseases, autoimmune conditions, and allergic and nutritional skin disorders. His philosophy is to treat each individual patient as if they were a family member, following the motto, “the best interest of the patient before all else.” Dr. Macdonald is a devoted family man to his wife Brooke and 3 children. He enjoys snowboarding, surfing, hiking, running, and being active.
