| Jarrett Hammer, DO obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hammer completed a Family Medicine Residency as Chief Resident for the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Offutt Air Force Base Medical Clinic. He later served as a family health clinic medical director for the Ellsworth Air Force Base. He is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and specializes in family medicine and metabolic health. Dr. Hammer chose to pursue a career in medicine while living in Detroit. While working with the underserved and the poor, he realized he wanted to help people for the rest of his life. Dr. Hammer chose to specialize in family medicine because he enjoys addressing the health and wellness of entire families. Dr. Hammer strives to build a partnership with his patients where they feel at ease and work together to create a treatment plan. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Hammer enjoys spending quality time with his family, hiking, camping, biking, playing pickleball, golfing, and coaching youth sports. Dr. Hammer has received additional training in metabolic health and enjoys helping his patients resolve their metabolic disorders including prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and insulin resistance. He is a certified provider through the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners. |
