Dr. Burkhardt chose medicine as a profession because he believes that all people should be able to live their life to its fullest potential. The scope of his practice includes all allergic diseases—perennial and seasonal allergies, asthma, eczema, food allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis and immune deficiency in infants and adults. As part of Revere Health Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Department, Dr. Burkhardt also offers allergy testing, lung function testing and oral food challenges to investigate symptom causes. Other treatments include allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots), asthma management and treatment of immune deficiency. Dr. Burkhardt is a proud supporter of the Allergy and Asthma Network, the Immune Deficiency Foundation and any other organization that helps to improve quality of life for others.

While not at work, Dr. Burkhardt loves to watch and participate in sports, listen to music and spend time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys spending free time gardening and cooking.
