Mariita Carter, NP

Mariita Carter earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University. She was named the 2025 Graduate Student of the Year and received academic scholarships throughout her education. Mariita is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Before becoming a family nurse practitioner, Mariita spent eight years working in the emergency department, where she developed the skills to remain calm under pressure, care for critically ill patients, and make sound clinical decisions in fast-paced situations. Her experience as the mother of a medically complex child, including supporting her son through treatment for a rare and aggressive form of leukemia, has also shaped her approach to care. It gave her a deep appreciation for the challenges patients and families face and strengthened her commitment to ensuring every patient feels heard, supported, and cared for.

Mariita started working as a certified nursing assistant in a nursing home at age 16 and quickly developed a passion for patient care. She was drawn to Revere Health after hearing positive experiences from friends who work within the organization. Her goals are to continue learning from experienced colleagues, grow as a provider, and deliver high-quality care to patients of all ages.

Outside of work, Mariita enjoys hiking, practicing jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
