Michael “Mike” Peterson, MD obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and zoology at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Utah. He completed an internship with the West Virginia University Department of Medicine and a residency with the LDS Hospital Department of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Peterson finished an epidemiology postgraduate degree with the University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. For five years, Dr. Peterson served as a board member on the Central Utah Public Health committee. He is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in internal medicine and epidemiology. He speaks fluent English and some Korean.

Dr. Peterson enjoys helping people achieve their health goals, and he strives to implement procedures that will lead patients to overall health and happiness. He listens intently to his patients and focuses heavily on education and communication in his practice. To ensure that his patients are the authors of their own health, he works directly with them to create personalized healthcare plans.
