Rex Heaton, FNP-C

Medical Oncology

Rex Heaton, FNP-C had experienced the healthcare system as a child that helped foster an interest in medicine. Rex has also always loved helping others. Combining his love of helping others and his interest in medicine was a very easy decision for his career.

Rex received an undergraduate degree and later a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Utah. He is certified as a registered nurse in Arizona and Utah and he specializes in wound care and occupational medicine.

Some of Rex’s favorite parts of his job are getting to know his patients and using the skills he has developed to help his patients become healthy. He loves watching people overcome obstacles and draw on their strength to deal with difficulties.

Outside of the clinic, Rex can be found learning something new—he’s always trying to figure out how and why things are the way they are. He likes to make things as simple as home-made bread and as complex as a Murphy bed. Rex especially enjoys woodworking, gardening and being on the medical team in support of local athletic events (like the Iron Man).

Survey Details

CAHPS surveys are funded and overseen by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) within the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Patients receive the nine-question survey via email or phone call, and we publish provider ratings on Revere Health's website once he or she has at least 30 completed surveys.
