Bio | Talaat Al-Shuqairat, MD obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Jordan School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital, Connecticut and a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has medical experience in managing different lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary hypertension and lung fibrosis. In addition, he performs bronchoscopy (scoping the lungs and taking lung samples). He is a certified sleep medicine doctor and treats different sleep-related diseases including sleep apnea, insomnia, as well as narcolepsy. Dr. Al-Shuqairat is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. Dr. Al-Shuqairat speaks fluent English and Arabic. Dr. Al-Shuqairat has always had a passion for helping others. He chose to pursue a career in medicine because he is fascinated with the human body and its physiology. Dr. Al-Shuqairat’s specialties and experience allow him to take care of patients with breathing problems in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He works with his patients to ensure they have proper preventative care. When he is not taking care of patients or spending time with family, Dr. Al-Shuqairat enjoys performing martial arts, exercising, and playing chess. |
