Venus Velez, NP

Venus Velez earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nightingale College of Nursing before completing her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner track, at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of clinical experience in nephrology and kidney care.

Venus provides comprehensive care for patients with chronic kidney disease and other complex chronic conditions. Her services include chronic kidney disease management, dialysis education, modality counseling, vascular access monitoring, patient and family education, preventive healthcare counseling, and support with lifestyle and medication adherence. She is passionate about helping patients better understand their kidney health and feel confident in their care decisions.

Venus has a well-rounded background in nephrology, having worked as a dialysis technician, registered nurse, clinic manager, and nurse practitioner. This experience has given her a deep understanding of the full continuum of kidney care, from early disease management to dialysis and renal replacement therapy. Her strong medical-surgical foundation also allows her to care for patients with multiple health conditions using a thoughtful, holistic approach.

Outside of work, Venus enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking at home, trying new recipes, watching documentaries, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.
