Thyroid Nodules

Thyroid nodules are small lumps or raised areas of tissue that form on the thyroid gland, which is located at the base of the neck. While most thyroid nodules are benign and do not cause symptoms, they should be evaluated to rule out any potential complications, including thyroid cancer. At Revere Health, we provide comprehensive evaluation and management of thyroid nodules using advanced imaging techniques and biopsy procedures to ensure an accurate diagnosis.

Symptoms and Diagnosis
Most thyroid nodules are discovered incidentally during routine exams or imaging studies. However, some nodules may cause noticeable symptoms, such as:

A visible lump in the neck
Difficulty swallowing or breathing
Hoarseness or voice changes
To determine if a nodule is benign or requires further treatment, we may use ultrasound imaging, blood tests, or a fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy.

Treatment Options
If a nodule is confirmed to be benign, regular monitoring may be recommended. For nodules causing symptoms or suspected of malignancy, surgery or medication might be necessary. Our team works with you to develop a personalized care plan based on your needs.
