Collin Barber, MD received his Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology from the University of Utah and completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arizona. He finished his medical residency and surgical fellowship at the University of Arizona and the Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan, respectively. He specializes in foot and ankle surgery and speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Barber was born with a serious condition that required surgery to correct. He owes his life to the quick thinking and professional skills of the doctors who acted quickly during his procedure. Seeing the care and attention of these skilled doctors instilled a desire to help others in the same way these doctors helped him. He decided to pursue orthopedic surgery because it requires an acute understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, physics, and engineering.
Especially in foot and ankle surgery, there are many possible treatments for one condition. Dr. Barber enjoys the innovation and creativity required to adapt traditional techniques and find a solution that meets his patients’ treatment goals. He believes that outcomes are optimized when the physician and patient engage in shared decision making.
When he is out of the office, Dr. Barber loves swimming, cycling, basketball, cooking, and woodworking.
A provider's patient satisfaction rating is determined by patient responses to questions from the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey, administered by NRC Health.
Patients today have more choices than ever, including where, how and from whom they get care. That's why Revere Health believes it's important to provide access to transparent information, empowering our patients to make knowledgable decisions about their healthcare.
CAHPS surveys are funded and overseen by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) within the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Patients receive the nine-question survey via email or phone call, and we publish provider ratings on Revere Health's website once he or she has at least 30 completed surveys.
