Joseph Garcia, MD


Bio	Joseph Garcia, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology and biochemistry at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He also completed a residency at the Wilford Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Garcia is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and specializes in internal medicine and complex systemic diseases. He speaks fluent English and Spanish. Dr. Garcia has always been fascinated with the science of the human body and enjoys serving and helping people. Inside and outside of his practice, Dr. Garcia strives to treat everyone he meets with kindness and respect. He chose to pursue internal medicine because it allows him to dive deep into the mysteries of the human condition. He stays up-to-date on the most recent medical practices and is comfortable working in critical care and ICU settings. In addition to his practice, he has experience performing procedures such as Lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis, complex wound debridement, joint aspirations, injections, EKGs, holters, and event monitor readings. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Garcia enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering in the community and his church, and spending time outdoors.
