Nick Thomson, MD received his Bachelor of Science in biophysics with a minor in chemistry from Brigham Young University. He completed both his Doctor of Medicine and internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and Phoenix, respectively. He also completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Tennessee. He is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology with the American Board of Internal Medicine and is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Thomson has always had a strong passion for using science to improve the quality of people’s lives. He also loves building long-lasting and mutually fulfilling friendships, making medicine the perfect career fit for him. While he could passionately discuss his love of medicine to anyone willing to listen, Dr. Thomson finds greater satisfaction in listening to and focusing on the individual needs of each patient. Another of his top priorities is to empower each patient with knowledge and ensure they have a clear understanding of their disease and the recommended treatments.
Long ago, Dr. Thomson decided to pursue oncology because he believes working with cancer patients is the greatest honor in medicine. He loves joining his patients on their journeys and witnessing their strength, hope, and determination. Dr. Thomson actively fights alongside each patient to achieve goals worth fighting for, centered on the most important aspects of a patient’s life.
When he’s not with his patients, Dr. Thomson spends every minute he can with his wonderful wife and four children. He and his family enjoy sports, music and outdoor fun.
A provider's patient satisfaction rating is determined by patient responses to questions from the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey, administered by NRC Health.
Patients today have more choices than ever, including where, how and from whom they get care. That's why Revere Health believes it's important to provide access to transparent information, empowering our patients to make knowledgable decisions about their healthcare.
CAHPS surveys are funded and overseen by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) within the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Patients receive the nine-question survey via email or phone call, and we publish provider ratings on Revere Health's website once he or she has at least 30 completed surveys.
