Revere Health Cancer Center Welcomes Nick Thomson, MD - Revere Health

American Fork, UTAH – July 1, 2020 – Dr. Nick Thomson recently joined Revere Health as its newest hematology and oncology specialist.

Thomson, who recently finished a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Tennessee, is filling the spot of retired oncologist Cordell Bott, MD. Bott was one of the first physicians to practice at Revere Health in 1984, then Central Utah Medical Clinic, but was forced into early retirement due to COVID-19.

“Dr. Thomson is a wonderful addition to our team,” said Ben Hodges, administrator for Revere Health Cancer Center. “He is passionate about patient-centered care and has a caring personality coupled with tremendous training. Dr. Bott’s patients will be in trustworthy hands.”

Thomson received his medical training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix campus before completing a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Tennessee.

Thomson grew up in Davis County, Utah. Long ago he decided to pursue oncology because to him, working with cancer patients is the greatest honor in medicine. He is humbled by the strength, hope and determination of each cancer warrior.

“I am excited to begin establishing the many lifelong friendships I’ve been looking forward to with my patients and their families,” said Thomson. “I know how special the people of Utah are and I look forward to meeting each one I come in contact with in my practice.
