Revere Health Gastroenterology Welcomes Brandon Dickinson, MD

Provo, UTAH – July 31, 2020 Brandon Dickinson, MD recently joined Revere Health as the newest gastroenterologist at the Revere Health main campus in Provo. Dickinson will begin seeing patients beginning July 31st.

Dickinson attended medical school at the University of Virginia and completed his medical residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Washington. He specializes in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

I look forward to fostering relationships with patients and working with them to achieve health-related goals,” said Dickinson. “Revere Health offers a great opportunity to work in a collaborative effort with medical professionals across multiple disciplines to deliver quality patient care.

In addition to his education, Dickinson underwent an extra year of training in advanced/therapeutic endoscopy specializing in endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP for the treatment of pancreaticobiliary disorders, endoscopic management of Barrett’s esophagus, complex polyp resection, and endoscopic management of gastrointestinal malignancies.

Revere Health Gastroenterology is excited to welcome Dickinson as the second endoscopic ultrasound specialist in Utah Valley alongside Dr. Chad Kawa. Before Dr. Kawa came to the valley, patients had to go all the way to LDS Hospital to receive this specialized care. Endoscopic ultrasound procedures involve both a scope and an ultrasound simultaneously. This procedure helps doctors to stage cancers such as pancreatic and rectal cancers.

“Dr. Dickinson is an advanced endoscopist with additional training in endoscopy above that of a typical board-certified gastroenterologist,” said Dr. Chad Kawa, a gastroenterologist in the Revere Health Gastroenterology department. “The specialized skills he offers to the community include endoscopic interventions of the biliary system and pancreas. He also has significant training in the diagnosis and staging of gastrointestinal cancers. He is trained in the removal of large polyps of the colon and performing difficult colonoscopies.”

Revere Health Gastroenterology is excited to welcome Dickinson as the second cancer care specialist for their department alongside Dr. Chad Kawa.
