Bio | Christopher Steen has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has served as Chief Operating Officer of Revere Health since 2017. In this position, Steen oversees the operations of Revere Health’s statewide system of physician-owned clinics, which feature more than 400 providers and approximately 2,000 employees across 30+ specialties. Revere Health has offices in more than 100 urban and rural clinic locations throughout the state of Utah. Steen started in healthcare finance working for two large health systems in the Philadelphia metro area. Throughout his career, he has served in various finance and operational positions across health systems and physician practice management. He is a strategic leader with a track record of improving organizational efficiencies and identifying opportunities for growth. Revere Health is recognized as a national leader in the nationwide shift to value-based care. Value-based care is an approach to healthcare that focuses on patient outcomes instead of volume of care, ensuring patients get the highest quality care while also focusing on controlling costs. With his diverse background in operations, finance, and planning, Steen has been instrumental in helping establish Revere Health’s success in this important arena. Steen says that patients are the biggest beneficiaries of Revere Health’s commitment to preventative, value-based care, because its providers are dedicated to identifying health issues before they become serious or even life-threatening. Steen received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. He is also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a member of several professional associations including the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and American Medical Group Association (AMGA).
