Farr West, UTAH – June 26th, 2023 – Dr. Kavya Rao recently joined the Revere Health Farr West Pediatric Neurology clinic as its newest Pediatric Neurologist. She will begin seeing patients in early July.
Kavya Rao, MD (she/her), completed both her Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology and her medical degree at University of California, San Diego. She then completed a Child Neurology residency and fellowship combined program at University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. She completed her Pediatric Epilepsy fellowship at Stanford University before moving back to Utah to build her practice. Dr. Rao is board certified in Pediatric Epilepsy and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. She speaks fluent English and Spanish.
Pediatric Neurology encompasses disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerve and muscle affecting infants, children and adolescents. Dr. Rao is passionate about providing care to her epilepsy patients. She maintains solid working relationships with the University of Utah epilepsy team, collaborating with them when needed to bring about the goal of seizure reduction or seizure freedom.
